Stanton has been working in and around the construction industry in one way or another since 1987. Cabinet-making, roofing, historical restoration, framing of high-end residential, and complete custom home-building.
In 1999, he found a new way to put all this experience to good use: He got his license and certification in home inspection and has inspected more than 4,000 homes since that time.
An interesting 4-year chapter Stanton's life also included managing a Victorian bed and breakfast in PA with his wife when they were newlyweds. This proved to be the ultimate training ground for impeccable customer service, which just seems second nature to him now.
Stanton was born and raised in rural Pennsylvania. His earliest training of all was on the family farm, where he developed a strong work ethic, mechanical inclination, and self-reliance. It was here he first felt the satisfaction that comes from a hard day's work, the pride that comes from a job well done, and the fulfillment that comes from helping others.
Stanton loves the great outdoors and enjoys camping, hiking, and skiing. He's a lousy golfer, moderate poker player, and a great corny joke teller. He's a sports fan (of Pittsbugh AND Seattle teams, if you can believe it), but his favorite team of all is his son's baseball team.
Confession of a carnivore: Many of Stanton's favorite activites (hunting, fishing, grilling/smoking) culminate in eating a fine cut of meat. Vegetarians, don't give up on him here... He also grows a pretty impressive garden each summer and comes from a long line of blue-ribbon pie-bakers. He bakes with his kids in hopes of crafting an applie pie that even grandma would be proud of.
